Lyn Newell

I am very passionate about the creative and performing arts and have enjoyed staging school productions and showcasing student talents. I am most proud of my former school choir Maria Fidelis winning the BBC Songs of Praise competition in 2010 against the odds and I always encourage my students to ‘have a go’ and to aim high.

I have been lucky enough to have lived and worked in several countries: Australia, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Nigeria, Kenya, and Spain. I have always lived amongst and taught people of diverse ethnicity and really enjoy working with and meeting new people and learning about new cultures and languages. I am honoured to be associated with the Kingdom Choir Foundation as it sits at the heart of my own beliefs about the power of choral singing and the arts in developing young people’s confidence, learning, self-esteem and opportunities in life.
